Exclamation Device Sequence Manager
Posted by: Chris4489 - 04-12-2018, 07:51 PM - Forum: General - Replies (1)

Good evening all,

I purchased a light show kit about 2 years ago, this year I have a problem with Device ID 01 on Channel ID 01, because of this I moved the first set of lights to Device ID 02 Channel ID 03 noticing when using a preset standalone 'show' that obviously the 1 set of lights are completely off.

Bringing me to using the Device Sequence Manager (For the first time), on opening this part of the software I receive an error message stating "Error connecting to controller, are settings configured correctly?" I may be missing something but I am able to play a custom show (with music etc) straight from my computer.

Please advise.

Many thanks,

  Dead Sections In LED Strings
Posted by: ChevyChase - 03-12-2018, 05:45 PM - Forum: General - Replies (12)

Am I just unlucky or does anyone else suffer with "dead" sections in some of their LED strings.  I`m guessing that the problem may be due to moisture ingress?  Any thoughts?

  Light Strings

Is it possible to cut light strings down in size? If so how can this be done and can you then use the left over lights as another string?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

  Raspberry Pi Player Problems
Posted by: ChevyChase - 27-11-2018, 10:00 PM - Forum: General - Replies (2)

I`m having problems with the raspberry pi player which for the life of me I can`t figure out.  I keep getting the message ERRROR- Failed to open USB device every time I use the player.  The music to the show starts playing but the software doesn`t start to control the controllers. I`ve tried installing the ftdi latest drivers but with no success.  I`ve tested my cable with my laptop and it works fine from there.

What really confuses me is that it was working absolutely fine last Christmas and also a few months ago at halloween.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Question Single channel permanently on
Posted by: Harrisonrobson - 25-11-2018, 10:38 PM - Forum: General - Replies (6)

Hi all,

I’m fairly new to the forum so please excuse any incorrect terminology!  Smile

I bought and setup the plug and play 8 channel controller. The shows using the pre made packs looks fantastic.

The only issue is that channel number 8 is constantly on? I’ve tried using strings from the other channels (strings proved to be working) however it’s still stuck on.

As it happens channel 8 is over head so it doesn’t look too bad them being stuck on but it’s irritating! Any suggestions on what could be at fault and how to fix it.

I’ve tried controlling the channels brightness and on/off using the device manager in the software but that doesn’t do anything on no 8 either.

Hi all,

New member here, I'm slowly finding my way around the designer software, just wondered if there was a way of adding additional soundtracks to make longer shows etc. At the moment can only seem to add one soundtrack to a show. I'm using the software on a professional licence,

Thanks in advance

  Xmas Light Competition
Posted by: ChevyChase - 13-11-2018, 01:32 PM - Forum: General - Replies (2)

I was just wondering if there is going to be a competition for the best displays this year?  I nearly entered last last year but felt that my display needed a bit more work before I dared show anyone, for fear of embarrassing myself against some of the excellent displays out there!
