  power injection on pixel grid
Posted by: 897sma - 26-10-2021, 05:34 PM - Forum: General - Replies (1)

I watched your tutorial video on pixel grid (video 8 at 1:12)which states you may need to power inject additional strips on large pixel display. Excuse my ignorance if it's a stupid question but is this just a larger power supply feeding the controller?

Control lights direct from Show designer HELP
Posted by: philspectrum - 16-10-2021, 06:50 PM - Forum: General - Replies (1)

Hi,
I'm a noob, so soz for a stupid question.

I have a SL-4000 pixel controller, pixel licence, and full Syncrolight software licence.
12v power supply, and a few strings of 8806 pixels, currently setup as duplicates
All setup via ethernet, and plays sample displays from both SD card in controller, AND from device manager - so all seems to be setup correctly.

I have the strings draped around my den, and am hoping that I can play & learn the software by playing the pixels direct from Show Designer so I can immediatly see what I am doing.

The tutorials suggest this is possible, but I cannot see that I need to select in software so this happens.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Phil

  Mounting LED strips
Posted by: Matt101 - 26-09-2021, 02:24 PM - Forum: General - Replies (2)

Afternoon all

I am hoping to dabble into the world of LED decorations this year. I have had Syncrolight put me a display together. I am basically going to frame the House, Porch & Windows with some other bits thrown in. This is all brand new to me. I understand the wiring etc but need a few suggestions from those who have already done this.

1. Methods for mounting the LED strips to the Wall/Window Frames
2. Best type of connections for the 90 degree turns I will have to make allowing for the fact they won't be up permanently.
3. Basically the house is a 8m x 5m frontage so the controller will probably be in the porch so pretty central to the overall design. Will this cause any issues with power drops etc? The longest run will be the house outline which is 5m x 8m x 5m. Most windows are 7m total and the Porch is 6m total. Having had a good read of the forum general consensus is power injection every 5m. Is this right?

Many thanks for any help

Matt

  three stars in series
Posted by: sheepdip - 21-09-2021, 03:36 PM - Forum: General - Replies (3)

Hi,
I've have made three stars of 40 pixels each and wired them in series to the same output on the controller.
My question is this.
Can I control each one as a separate item using the same controller output but call each by a separate name?
Am I asking too much?
Any and all help would be great!

  Duplicating Display item

Is it possible to cut/copy a display item and all events and rename as another item. In other words duplicate a display item and give it another name.

  SD card show error
Posted by: chriswcollett@gmail.com - 12-08-2021, 07:41 PM - Forum: General - Replies (3)

Hi.
I am checking out my SP10 shows to make sure all is ok ready for this year. The shows came already on the card plus I have added some more. They all work except for one which does not play but the music file does when I click on it in the Device Manager. The error says that something is missing so I guess that it is corrupted/damaged.
How do I repair this or get it back without paying for it again? Any help would be appreciated.

Singing pumpkin faces and Ghostbusters ready to go sequence
Posted by: Pawtrax - 09-08-2021, 02:39 PM - Forum: Halloween - Replies (4)

Hi

I have download the ghostbusters ready to go sequence.

When displaying the visualisation file the eyes on the faces appear to be different to pictures/documentation I have seen elsewhere.

They seem to have two rows of lights at the bottom line of the triangle eye. Is this just a visualisation thing?

Can anyone provide a diagram as to how each segment of these faces are wired to contollers? I cant work out how each face uses the 7 channels.

TIA
