Pixel Lights
#1
Hi I am trying to setup my first set of pixel lights on an Ethernet controller. I have connected I 2801 pixel string to channel 1
I can get them to work and the colours are correct however if I try to use a single pixel/LED I get the following 5 or six pixels lighting too.
if I light two or three pixels then the following ones light too.

I have configured the card to the correct settings

any pointers to where I should look for the problem -
should I power the strings from the power supply to the red and black wires ?

any help much appreciated

Be sure that the Pixels per channel is set to 1 if you want to control individual pixels.

Also
-Keep the lead wire as short as possible, ideally no more that 1 or 2 meters. (you can run have longer runs ; but longer wire is more prone to voltage drop and interference etc)
-If connecting sets it is critical to inject power at the start of each set. Inject power directly from the power supply. Often best to inject power to the end of the string also.
-The controller can sometimes pick up static from some types of surface. Try raising the controller off the surface slightly or placing on a different surface.
