Pixels
#1
Hello!

Just a quick question:
I have been offered some second-hand pixels from my mums friend, who of which also does light shows but not sure if uses Syncrolight. Can anyone help me before I spend my pocket money? Do all pixels work within Syncrolight’s software/controllers?

Many thanks,
Jack.

Hi Jack,

Depends on the chip type in the pixels. If you look in device manager you will see a list of supported pixel types for that controller. The most common type these days is 2811 and 2812. To make things even more confusing there are pixel types like 1903 which are compatible with 2811.

Find out what IC type is in the pixels and we can advise you further.

Hi Craig,

Thank you for coming back to me so soon!

They are WS2811 pixels, which I believe are fine?

Thanks,
Jack
