Silly question time

Hi, just wondering what the best way is to attach light strings to exterior walls, around windows etc?

I used sticky cable tie squares, will stick if you clean the area with alcohol or similar

I use these clips to stick to the uPVC around my windows and doors. They say for indoor use but I found them quite adequate for temporary use outdoors and they come off without too much mess.
