Hi Phil,
Check that the Show Player is in "Use Scheduler" Mode (With interactive shows enabled within the schedule). If the show player is just in interactive mode it will override the schedule.
With regards saving the schedule, sound like you are trying to save the schedule to the "Program Files" directory. Use "Save As" to ensure the schedule is saved to a non protected directory.
