Additional led strings on channel - Pawtrax - 30-11-2021

Hi. Is it possible, using a splitter cable, to run an additional string of 100 leds from a single channel on the DC08? Is there a max number of strings/leds that can be run off a single controller

Hi,

The main limit is the power supply. You should not load a power supply more than around 80%. We suggest around 2000 LEDs on a 24V 5Amp Power supply. We also suggest a limit of around 2 amps per channel and around 5 amps per controller, the controllers will take much higher current but extra cooling starts to become necessary if all lights on the controller are left on for long periods or between shows etc.

We do an 8 way and 2 way splitter for connecting more lights without cutting wires etc.

Hope that helps

Craig.
