With all the awful weather over the weekend (no snow here thankfully but lots and lots of rain) I didn't run my show but have it back on tonight, Farnham GU9 9DJ if anyone wants to visit.
I noticed that on one led string just 2 bulbs are on constantly, very dim but on, everything works fine and they and the rest of that string come on when required. Only other thing is my pixel lights aren't working (not a great issue as I don't use them much) I think the SD card and /or the SD card controller may have got damp, its in a makeshift container to try and keep it dry. Checked the sd card on my PC and it looked ok and I was able to open the configuration file. Think I will go for an Ethernet controller next year.

Hi I am trying to setup my first set of pixel lights on an Ethernet controller. I have connected I 2801 pixel string to channel 1
I can get them to work and the colours are correct however if I try to use a single pixel/LED I get the following 5 or six pixels lighting too.
if I light two or three pixels then the following ones light too.
I have configured the card to the correct settings
any pointers to where I should look for the problem -
should I power the strings from the power supply to the red and black wires ?
any help much appreciated
steve

Hi couple of questions, first an easy one, what's the best way to send a video for Syncrolight FB/web page? via an e mail, youTube link etc.?
Secondly I have my show player set up for "Interactive" with the show selector and show scheduled to run from 1700 - 2000. Yesterday I had quite few people come and watch all went ok. Tonight all was working fine and the schedule began as it should, I left it to get on with it but no one used the show selector today. At 1900 ish I went to check and a message on the laptop said "Show player has stopped working" I clicked OK and show player closed down. I got it restarted although it hadn't saved the schedule or show list so I had to re input them. I have had issues saving the schedule but I think it saved ok this time. any idea why show player would stop working?

Show player lag |

Since adding pixels to my shows when they change from one show to the next there is a massive hang up in the change and all is off for a good 5-10 seconds.
This is just a problem for what my lights a not doing a musical display as they are all around 4 minutes and only take a few seconds to load between each one.
But the 2 shows I have written for when I just want them on all evening a 15 and 5 minutes and they take ages to load. I’ve tried this in both my laptop and desktop and both do the same.
The 15min is over 300mb and yes I know that’s larger than most but this day and age and with my laptop that is nothing.
When I benchmark test my HDD I can get 2500m/sec read and 1900mb/sec write.......(yes it’s very high spec laptop/solid state PCIE drive)
So all in all I want to know why both the show player and designers lag so much and I still frequently get out of memory issue.
Hopefully this can be resolved because I have 4 ac controllers a Ethernet pixel one and I want to expand for next year but can’t see how he software would handle it.

Hi All, I have just started putting together my first show and have an issue I cannot resolve looking for some advice.
when I create my layout within showbuilder I group items in the layout wizard.
at the moment I have two 8 channel dc controllers, 8 LED strings and 8 led figures.
when I group them I make sure that the channel number is correct for each light
id 1 has all the figures, one tree, three penguins, santa, polar bear, two snowmen
id2 has the leds, two blue, two green, two red and two white.
when I create my layout I group them in that order and validate before uploading.
I've chosen the free shows to test and the resultant show builds downloads and runs.
the problem I have is the grouping is all wrong
the penguin group become two penguins and a polar bear
the snowmen group becomes one snowman and a Santa
the Led's are not paired two greens are a green and white
I check each lights card id and channel are correct when creating the layout
any advice in resolving this within the programming, I know I can swap around the cabling but was looking for a better resolution that would be a pain when I get to connect all four dc controllers
thanks for any help
