Hi,
wanting to setup a few strings of PXL-2811-3 pixels, and wondering how to wire signal and 12v power & injectors to be weather proof?

The pixel strings come with really short wires, - the signal can be daisy chained together, - so only need 1 long signal wire, plus multiple 12v wires.

any tips or photos much appreciated.
Thanks
Phil
Hi
I use Servisol Silicone Adhesive Sealant. Comes in 75ml tubes. It's a recognised 'Potting compound' and won't corrode any solder joints or copper tags.
doesn't take much to give a good water tight seal on the end of strips

We generally just use solder and heatshrink. The heatshrink with adhesive lining gives a good waterproof seal.
When running signal wires, always use one core for a ground wire to minimise interference.

Jelly Crimpers !

A BT engineer lent me a set, outdoor, waterproof, upto 8amps.
No need to strip the wire, and permanant.
Also a very small neat join.

see these - I will only use terminal block as a temp fix from now on!
Just brilliant.
