Yes the SD card controller does work with the small dome pixels.

many thanks, the controller was delivered today and it says in the manual that you can use 5 to 40 v on it, i was questioning it as the item details on the website say 7v. will have a play with it later when i get the show selector that i also received today working correctly.

If the pixels are 5V then you should use a 5V power supply. You need to use the correct voltage for the pixels or you will damage them. The SD card controller works at 5v.
