So just for my understanding..... i have a starter plug and play box with 8 lights, i have made my own music and show on the sofeware downloaded...Question is 'how do i now put the show i made to the control unit so the lights play to my show music and actions??

You need to connect the USB-RS485 lead to the computer and your controller.  To run your show either in show Designer or show player in the Syncrolight Software.  

You can only download a very simple sequence to the controller without music for stand a loan.
